As Karina and I were beginning to work out the séance scene for "The Speed of Sound" I was trying to think of other films that have good séance scenes, and thought of the one from Fritz Langs's Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler (1922). And then I found a great still from the scene (top). So if you can picture this scene taking place in an old Pacific Northwest house, that's where we're heading...
